1. Why is your business blogging?
By asking yourself the reason for starting a blog in the first place, you might have a better time figuring out what type of blog you want to start. If you're planning to write about things like your work, your clients, your successes and failures, then a business blog is probably right up your ally. But if you are looking for a venue to vent about what just happened on Jon and Kate plus 8, or Housewives of Fargo, North Dakota, then there are plenty of free blogging platforms out there made for more recreational blogging pursuits.
2. Does your organization benefit from search?
Sounds like a dumb question, but maybe your company doesn't have any reason to show up in the search index.
