Traffic is a Good Thing?

Friday, February 13, 2009 by Jason Gergely
YES!

Traffic is a good thing. But you are thinking of the rush hour traffic you are going to have to face when you leave work at 5:30 today... aren't you? Yeah.. I know, it really is awful... with all those people trying to cut you off and such... ugh!

Well in this case, I'm actually talking about website traffic. The numbers you get when people come to visit your website. The more exposure of your website, the higher your traffic.. the happy you will be.

But what drives that traffic up? What can you do to increase your likelihood of being found?

Try blogging! Not only blogging, but blogging for traffic. By writing up posts on a regular basis, you can increase your likelihood of being found. When people have problems, they are going to the internet and using search engines to solve their problem. By blogging you are more likely to be found and be there to solve that problem... who better to solve it than you.. right?

So if you are there to solve their problem, what does that mean for your company? It means another customer, another believer in your product, and another voice to speak up about you with that thing called Word of Mouth Marketing that is useful, yet incontrollable.

So why not utilize the things that you can control? Star blogging!
