Recently Compendium Blogware's CEO Chris Baggott held a webinar on the blogging trends of 2009. It's always interesting to hear what the professionals are expecting in the up and coming year.

   1. Focus on What's Important - People are looking to search engines to solve their problems. Focus on search to reach them most effectively

   2. Focus Blogging and Search - What people are doing online is search and e-mail. Capitalize on that and blog to reach those them through search.

   3. Rethink Everything you Hear about Social Media - Social media, though somewhat effective, can have issues. Rethink and consider organic search.

   4. Content and Volume - Put up a lot of blog, make them work it. Make it happen.

   5. Keyword Awareness - Know your keywords, use them efficiently. It'll make your blog more effective

   6.The Title Says it All - Concentrate and make your title effective. It's the first thing that people will read, and help Google find it.

   7. Widespread Employee Blogging - Your employees like to talk about their job, let them through blogging

   8. Leverage Multiple Blogs - Empower your employees to blog to start   multiple blogs

   9. Get Local - Blog about local topics, offer coupons to readers for discount on local stores

   10. Measurement and Sales - Corporate blogs will help provide a return on your investment
