I don't like the word job... I think the last job I had was as a Home Depot lot boy back in the 80's. Since then, I've always focused on great employment opportunities that would both enhance my career and feeds my passion for helping clients do a better job marketing.
You should know that my job at Compendium Blogware is spot on with what I love. My job responsibility is to make our clients successful. My title is VP of Blogging Evangelism. Translated, that means that I'm going to help clients target their marketing efforts to maximize their online impact.
My success is measured both by how our clients retain and how they engage in greater opportunities with us.
Sometimes this conflicts directly with the objectives of other people in the organization. Perhaps a client is requesting a very unique theme change that still follows best practices and they believe will lead to increased conversion rates. This may strain other parts of the organization (or at least make them unhappy) but I'm going to do it anyways!
I hate responding to any request with "No, we can't do that." Luckily, we have an incredibly robust application that's fully customizable - it simply requires talent and time to get anything done. Sometimes that clogs up the internal efficiencies down the pipeline.
But I don't care about making things easier internally. My objective is to help you be successful. So I say, "Yes you can!".
