You've probably noticed how keen our Marketing staff is at creating some incredibly good Calls-To-Action (CTAs). Today we did an in-depth webinar with our clients to provide some detail on how to develop a CTA that will get visitors to click through.
We brought our clients through each aspect of developing, measuring and creating a winning CTA strategy.
Perhaps the most important is the creation process. Each CTA should have the following 4 elements:
The benefit is providing answers to the most commonly asked corporate blogging questions.
The command is where we actually state "Download Whitepaper". It's not enough to just have a cool image - you have to tell people what to do.
The click is some kind of graphic that actually denotes an opportunity to click. Sometimes it's a button, sometimes it's an arrow (ours to the right has both) and sometimes it's the image of the mouse pointer over the image.
Providing these four elements will increase your CTR (Click Through Rate) on your CTAs substantially. Be sure to always have a diverse set of CTAs running so you can test, measure, swap and enhance as necessary!
