When the ad budget runs dry, how will they find you?

Saturday, November 22, 2008 by Douglas Karr
No Advertising BudgetAdvertising is an event and Marketing is a process.  We pay for advertisements and justify those ads on an immediate, measurable return.  What happens when the money runs out, though?

When your ads disappear, how will they find you?

Investing what marketing funds you have into a blogging strategy allows you to continue advertising even when the money isn't there anymore.  Your previous posts are still available and still driving traffic.  And your new posts continue to draw new searchers to your business.
According to Pew: The percentage of internet users who use search engines on a typical day has been steadily rising from about one-third of all users in 2002, to a new high of just under one-half (49%). With this increase, the number of those using a search engine on a typical day is pulling ever closer to the 60% of internet users who use email, arguably the internet's all-time killer app, on a typical day.
Blogging for SEO the best way you can invest your money today so that tomorrow when your advertisement budget runs dry, you can still stay in business.

People will still be searching, will you be there?
