Then I started thinking about the last time I opened up a Yellow Pages book? I could not remember when that was. Furthermore, I continued to think harder about the last time I looked at YellowPages.com for anything. That did not ring a bell either. The point is that almost no one uses these tools anymore. When people need results and need them now, they go to Google. Google is one of the best seo tools out there. An article by Christopher Hosford goes in depth on money lost by using this tool. It goes even further in depth to explain how blogging is a good strategy to gain search engine optimization ranking. To read his article click here.

And that would be your experience. Last year US consumers referenced the print Yellow Pages over 13.4 billion times. Combined with the online Yellow Pages and their distribution deals with other search engines, YP is one of the best ways for small businesses to reach buyers, not browsers. Thank you for the comments. I am of course biased to blogging, but yes I do have some good information to share with you. One of my clients was able to cancel the $30,000 a month he was spending on his YellowPage adds because of the success of his blogs. He was seeing that a high percentage of converting clients were coming from the blogs! A side note, he does not even spend that on his blog package with us for an entire year. He is not a large company by any means either. Now if that is not ROI, then I don’t know what is. We actually have several clients of ours that only spend a few thousand a year with us and continue to see much better results from blogging that YellowPages. I am happy to help answer anymore questions you might have!
