Franchise blogging

Wednesday, January 21, 2009 by Brian Millis

Today I had a meeting with a business that has over 200 franchises.  In my opinion, a franchise business model is perfect for a large scale multi user blog strategy.  Franchise owners, their employees, and their customers can all help create the content.  On Compendium's corporate blogging software, all this great content will be organized with no effort at all.  This is a large scale blog strategy focused at SEO.

The end result will be a more cohesive corporate message from franchise to franchise that can be found on all the important revenue driving search phrases. Owners and employees will feel like they have a real part in the conversation and can effectively reach consumers who are searching their product or service.  Encourage this traffic to buy online or get a coupon and bring it into the store.  Either way, business increases and the ROI is evident.  Compendium helps track this ROI and our platform with a system of support makes it easy.

Comments for Franchise blogging

Brian, Very interesting idea. In my experience, a full time franchise owner won't have the time to do it. I see rather, an Intranet type service, in which the info that is posted by them, or probably by an employee, can be shared publicly if appropriate, or internally to help out each other.
