But is an MVC Framework Available for It?

Sunday, November 2, 2008 by P.J. Hinton
The collection of posts from Lifehacker on Friday included one about the availability of an open source implementation of the BASIC interpreter for the Commodore 64, allowing its use as a scripting language.

The post's screen shot of an infinite loop "Hello World" program, running inside a Darwin shell, is especially amusing.

As someone whose first programming experiences involved coding on that machine and Radio Shack TRS-80s over 25 years ago, I felt just a wee bit nostalgic, recalling learning about PEEK and POKE calls and making sprites move across the screen.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to code a complete corporate blogging application in Commodore BASIC, though. :-)
