What a Way to Start the Holiday Season!

Seeing the wonder on my kids' faces as the lights turned on: priceless

I took my daughters downtown last night for the Circle of Lights so that they could see the ceremonial lighting of the strands that decorate the Soldiers and Sailors Monument throughout the season. Because the girls are ages 3 and 5, they were a bit small to stand outside in the massive crowd and the 33 degree air.

Fortunately, Compendium Blogware's office is on the 14th floor of Circle Tower, and there is a portion that has a great view of the monument. We got in around 6, ate dinner, then watched a DVD in my office while we waited for the magic moment, right around 7:50 pm, to happen.

Did I mention I love working downtown? :-)
