Welcome

This is my second time blogging.  My first blog experience was on writing about my favorite restaurant Goodfella’s . I am never sure on what exactly to write and what a blog should really say.

I now work for a great company called Compendium Blogware as the Business Manager and have found that blogging is not that complicated.  It takes only a few minutes to put your thoughts into words.  You can blog about anything that you have on your mind, food, restaurants, the best place to shop, or the wonderful company you work.  Blogging should always include your keywords that you are wanting to blog about which is really important for search engine optimization.

Blogging for a Kindle!

Friday, March 5, 2010 by Chandra Chaves

So I was getting my hair done the other day at this wonderful little salon in Pendleton, Indiana.  I was discussing with the lady where I work.  She asked me about Compendium Blogware.  So I proceeded to tell her I work for an affordable blogging software company and that our business provides a great new way to market her business.  She became very interested in our blogging software so I gave her Compendium's  information.

I then began thinkng to myself of the promotion going on at our office........

Compendium Blogware is currently running a referral program for clients, prospects and employees to receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card for referring new business to Compendium!

And the best part is if that lead becomes a client of Compendium within 30 days of the referral, they will give me a Kindle!

I can be next - this owner who is looking to improve their search marketing strategy and should use blogging as their tool.  I should submit the information on our Spread the Word referral page and wait to receive my $25 Gift Card in the mail...it's that easy!

Maybe getting my hair done could turn into a lead and I could be the new proud owner of a Kindle or a $25.00 Amazon Gift Card!  We shall see.

Finding New Ways to Market Your Business

Friday, October 16, 2009 by Chandra Chaves
Each week I am overwhelmed by the amount of mail that I continue to receive from various company who want my business.  Coupons, sales ads, etc.  I am always throwing them away and thinking how much money do these companies spend on these thick paper advertisements and coupons?  Then I think, if they are spending the money to send these advertisements and coupons to consumers, then they are spending way to much money on marketing their business.

In today's world most of us use the computer to find what we need.   Why should companies spend money on such marketing ads, when we can find that information ourselves with a few clicks?

Companies should invest their money into new strategies for the ever changing market.  Compendium has that solution.  Compendium sells affordable blogging software that will save consumers money as well as put money into their pockets.  The easy to use blog software enables the client to put the power into their hands by blogging about the company and its experiences and customer experiences.  It adds that human element to marketing that gets lost in the shuffle.   Why not blog for business?  Blogging about your business allows consumers to find your business just by providing certain keywords that pertain to your business.  So when searchers are looking for a certain brand or a specific type of product, you want to be blogging!  Save consumers time and money by getting rid of the needless paper advertisements and go green.  Let people search for you on the net, but of course, you need to always blog about your business!!!

It's the Holiday Season.....

Friday, October 16, 2009 by Chandra Chaves
As the Christmas season becomes closer and closer, I tend to panic and think what am I going to buy for everyone???  I then stress even more thinking when am I going to have time to shop, I mean really shop.  I am a shopper that has to look around at things, find the best deals, get ideas on what I want to buy.

This year I have put on a new hat and decided I am going to avoid all the stress of finding the perfect gift with all the other shoppers and shop online and shop via Internet.  I am hoping that I will find that perfect gifts this season for my special someones.  With that hope, I am hoping that companies are doing their part to be found on the internet.

How do companies increase their chances of being found?  Compendium!  Our business offers Software as a Service to companies who are looking to be found on the Internet by us the consumers.  And to be found on the internet our clients need to blog about how great their companies are and what the companies provided to win search.   I love when I go to a website and there are testimonials of customers who have purchased from a specific company.  The consumer posts a great comment about customer service.  It is a win win for me.

Marketing your business in todays world of technology is easy as blogging once a day about your company and its successes.   So much more affordable than marketing of the past.  Saving the consumer money and your business money.   In the end we are all happy!

Son Tells Mom to Blog about it!

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 by Chandra Chaves

Blog ABOUT IT!  I am amazed at what our kids know about computers and the internet these days.  They know so much more than we ever knew back in the day.  I am writing a blog post today because my 10 year old son keeps insisting that I do so.  Every day I come home and he has a story to tell about something that happened at school that day or a current event.  After our discussions he always says "can I blog about it?"  I always say well of course you can!  Blogging is a great marketing tool to get your voice heard, whether it be about your business or about a product you have bought and liked or disliked.  Blog about it because consumers want to know what your opinion is in order to validate if this is a good buy or not.  I just purchased couch covers based on consumer reviews!  Blog for search engine optimization and blogging will bring the business to you!:)

Blogging Incentives....

Tuesday, September 8, 2009 by Chandra Chaves

I am the Business Manager here at Compendium and every month our Marketing Deparment has great blogging incentives for our employees in our company.   We have had blogging for your favorite drink/candy, Indians Tickets, gift cards, and free PTO days.  This month it is the "Blogging Bucket and Content Cooler" that is making me blog today.  The Blogging Bucket and Content Cooler is filled with wonderful snacks and drinks for the week.  We have several  departments in this contest and the first to reach their goal of blogs for the week receives the bucket and cooler exclusively in their department for their blogging efforts.
Providing your employees with incentives is a great way to get your company blogging about your business.  Which allows your customers to see the "inside personality" of your company and who doesn't want to see that?

Simplifying SEO

Wednesday, March 25, 2009 by Chandra Chaves
I am a consumer and I am driven to find information relating to what I am going to buy via the Internet.  I am on google all the time searching for information on products.  When I search, I want to be able to search BEST Mattress and come up with customer testimonials on where to buy the best mattress, what kind to buy and where from.

If I read on a company blog that a customer has had a great experience and the customer service was exceptional, I am going to go with that company.  The customer knows best.  I don't want to try a new company that does not have all the valuable information that I am looking for and hope for the best.    A customers testimonial will win my business over any time!

I am amazed at the amount of times that I think about blogging and how it blogs can change your business and increase sales.  If a company purchased all the keywords from a blogging software such as Compendium, that pertains to their business, it is more likely that their business would be found in their search.  Company blogging and customers blogging about how great their experience with a company, or what a great bargain they got at their endless search for the best mattress, the best place to eat, where to go for vacation, where to buy blue vinyl chairs.  Blue Vinyl Chairs....I am reminded of this last night watching the Food Network show, Ace of Cakes.  Mary Alice endlessly searched google for blue vinyl chairs and could not find them online.  What if the company who made the blue vinyl chairs had purchased Compendium's Blogging Program and bought keywords to increase their chances of being found on the web?  Mary Alice probably would have not been so exhausted in her search.  So blog about your company and customers blog about experiences with that company and we will all breathe easier in our search efforts!

Great Incentive to Blog

Thursday, February 5, 2009 by Chandra Chaves
Our company is having a blog showdown with another local company.  I am constantly being reminded to blog every day with great incentives, I might add.  The marketing team is offering great prizes that I would love to win.    So why not blog?  I can come up with a million excuses, too busy, I don't know what to blog about, I am not good at blogging, what will my subject be?  So at lunch today I challenged myself to sit and write a blog.  Again, not sure what to blog about...and then I just started typing and the rest just came.  It took me less than five minutes. The more you blog the eaiser it gets.  So maybe, just maybe I can win this blog contest after all.:)

Blog About IT!

How can businesses be found?  Compendium Blogware can help you out!  Hello, I am the Business Manager for Compendium.  I started with Compendium a little over three months ago and knew little about blogging.  In the short three months that I have been with Compendium I have become a fan of blogging.  I think it is a great asset to any company who is looking to grow their sales.

I am constantly struggling to find a business that I can trust.  I can google them on the Internet, but can I trust that they are reputable people to do bu sines with.  If a company would blog about their business or a customer would blog about their experiences would you be more likely to do business with that company?  My answer is yes!

I specifically picked our 10 year anniversary vacation spot because it was so highly recommended by people who blogged about the resort!

So BLOG ABOUT IT!!!

Bridal Blogging

Thursday, January 22, 2009 by Chandra Chaves
My sister is getting married this year in October.  Over the weekend we went searching for the perfect dress, photographer, invites, DJ, caterer, venue, etc.  You get the picture, right?  We went to the Indianapolis bridal show here in downtown Indianapolis.  Hundreds of vendors were there to graciously hand out their information.  I wish I would have had my business card to hand out to them.  I believe that people in the bridal industry could greatly benefit from the Compendium Blogware software program.  I just keep thinking about all the women out their that google wedding information and want the best information out there without having to spend hours, upon hours on the Internet.  Where do you start?  It is mind boggling the amount of information out there on the web.  I mean brides want to find the best deal and the best for their money.  How do you know who to pick and who is the best?

David's Bridal for example, we went and tried on dresses for hours and they were wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable.  Again, they could really benefit from the Compendium blogging software.  Of course brides want to find out where they can be treated like the queen that they are, right?

All in all, wedding shopping should be made easier, so the bride does not need to stress if they are picking the right person/company for the job!  Brides untite in BLOGGING!
