Is your business sexy enough to blog?

Tuesday, April 28, 2009 by Chris Baggott
A few months ago I sat through a talk by a "blogging expert" that said some businesses were not sexy enough to blog.  I know, I'm not supposed to hate...but come on folks.   If a business exists at all, it exists because it provides some value to some population.  Businesses exist to solve problems.

This is why I'm really excited about all the buzz around one of the newest Compendium Blogware clients, a global frieght management company called Langham Logistics.   Now many of the experts might not think that trucking and shipping is sexy, but listen to what CEO Cathy Langham has to say in their press release:

“While our salespeople, press coverage and customer referrals have been instrumental in driving new business to Langham, as a global service provider we need to expand our online presence to improve our international visability,” said Cathy Langham, CEO of Langham Logistics. “With Compendium Blogware, we will be able to drive qualified sales leads to our blogs by simply writing about topics our sales prospects are already searching for online. Compendium’s technology does the rest of the work for us and makes it easier for prospects to find us online.”

The thing that Langham has in common with every other business on the planet is that their prospects use search to find solutions.   It's universal that finding the best blogging solution to drive well qualified search traffic is the key to success for any business marketer...whether you are selling toasters or trucking.
